Mr. Enter's Notebook: Night Light by MrEnter Mr. Enter's Notebook: Night Light by MrEnter
Writers: "Gah! Writing an eleven minute episode is so hard. I know, maybe have complex enough plots to fill in seven minutes or even four minutes!" *cue Rise and Shine and Waiting.

Actually, I do think that this episode might have been what inspired season 5 to have some shorts, because it honestly feels like one. Although, this episode could have been salvaged. You know in the beginning where Spongebob thought he saw monsters in the dark? If they kept on that note and maybe have like a Rock Bottom in Spongebob's house this could have worked. Hell, he could have even purposefully called in Mermaidman and Barnacle Boy to help fight these monsters in his head. Oh, and Patrick running off into the sun was actually a good joke. Hell, I could even tolerate some of the screaming. But, when you have a four-minute plot stretched out to eleven minutes, it just doesn't work.

At least "The Original Fry Cook" had better writing and a good lesson, despite Krabs being somewhat of a jerk... Thanks for making me see things in a new light, Mr. Enter.

Well, My overall this episode was just LACKLUSTER! and NOTHING SPECIAL! the only thing I liked about it was the ending when Patrick ran up into the sun.

I remember this being decent and not so bad.

This episode sucked. It kind of felt like a rip off of an episode I've seen from another show.

OT: If you could, I would like to see you do an admiral animation of the Wild Thornberry's episode "Forget Me Not" and the same for some episodes of Rocko's Modern Life as well.

All I could think of when I watched this episode was how annoying SpongeBob was acting!  And while being afraid of the dark is understandable I don't think I've ever met anyone as afraid as SpongeBob was here.

I'd like to see you do the animated atrocities notepages on the pre-movie duds (also, if you could - please watch "Dumped" again, just so that we can all figure out... is it an animated atrocity?). I don't know, this episode always felt like one of the pre-movie duds. It has a few good enough gags, but the episode lacks enough substance so that it's in the range of bad episodes like "I'm With Stupid" or "The Great Snail Race". What do you think?

Whether its an atrocity of animation is debatable, but it defiantly a pre movie dud and deserves a review, because it fails as a SpongeBob episode.

Yeah, Dumped is a pre-movie dud... and anything that scores ten or more points on the Atrocity notepages is an atrocity by MrEnter's standards, so I think that he could consider Dumped an Animated Atrocity.

I'd love to see an Animated Atrocity on The Great Snail Race. Please tell me I'm not the only person who finds that to be worse than A Pal for Gary!
